Biography
After graduating with a Business Economics degree from University of California, Santa Barbara, in the early 90’s, Brett returned home to the Midwest. He spent the rest of that decade gathering vital experience and knowledge from working on the floor of the Chicago Stock Exchange to climbing the ranks at a boutique asset management group. He also tackled the coursework and exams to achieve the Certified Financial Planner certificant and the Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder designations. In 2000, he co-founded Detterbeck Wealth Management with a passion for bringing financial solutions for good people in need. That passion continues today not only in him, but everyone else on the DWM team. Outside of the office, Brett stays active with his wife and two sons’ busy schedules. He also enjoys basketball, golf, exercising and traveling.
