Biography
Growing up in Alaska, it’s criminal to not enjoy the boundless beauty in my backyard! Ben, my fiancé, and pup Maverick love to spend time together hiking, mountain biking and camping when we can.
I also am a proud horse girl and have been competing in hunters and equitation for as long as I can remember. Though I currently don’t have a personal horse, I’m sure the most magical unicorn will waltz in when the time is right! Working toward my small ‘r’ judge’s card for hunter and equitation shows is also a new challenge I’ve taken on.
Dedicating time to community involvement is important to me, so I spend spare time in a few capacities: as treasurer for the Anchorage Horse Council, a director for the United States Hunter Jumper Association’s Zone 12 Committee, a member of the USS Ted Stevens Commissioning Committee, and as the Anchorage Estate Planning Council’s executive director.
When not at home, I absolutely have the travel bug! I studied in Cali, Colombia during my undergrad and can’t wait to see more of the world (though, Latin America is still my favorite continent to explore so far). Please don’t hesitate to share your favorite travel experiences – hands down my favorite conversation topic!
