Klair Reese leads Family Office Services at DSG Advisors. With over 20 years of accounting, audit and tax experience, she understands the importance of knowing your client.
Klair began her career as a staff accountant with Westberg, Eischens, Van Buren and Ruff, a regional firm in West Central Minnesota, afforded her experience in audit and tax within the agriculture and not-for-profit sectors. She then transitioned to Grant Thornton, where she accumulated experience on a global scale as an Audit Senior III. Most recently, she was the controller for a fourth-generation family office providing financial, tax and investment services for nearly 15 years.
Throughout Klair's career, it has been the "people" factor that is most meaningful — developing relationships within organizations at every level from clerk to the CEO and deepening an understanding for client needs. Klair sees relationships in numbers and also in processes. Klair offers her clients a very well-rounded skillset in tax planning, financial decision-making and investment management, both domestic and globally.
Klair holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Southwest State University, including a Certified Public Accountant certification.
Klair lives in the northwest corridor with her husband and two children, where they enjoy a wide variety of outdoor and indoor activities. From camping, rock climbing, hiking, fishing to trail running, she is also a very avid reader and can be found often doing so from her favorite hammock or wherever a proper tree can be found.
