Biography

I started Know Your Worth Financial to help educate and serve young minority professionals in this increasingly complex financial environment. The vision is to help people learn that they don’t need to settle for less; by simplifying personal finance and offering a safe space for people to talk openly about money so they can get the tools necessary for building a stable future.

Growing up as a second-generation American, outside of being told to “save more and spend less”, conversations around money didn’t happen too often. It wasn’t until I started my career in finance that I learned how to effectively manage and plan my money.

I was born and raised in Phoenix and graduated from Arizona State University. I’ve been in the financial services industry for over 10 years and practicing Certified Financial Planner™ for over four. During my decade in the finance industry, I observed a woeful lack of resources and attention paid to the young non-retired population and minority communities. Systematic barriers like net worth and income made it impossible to effectively help the people closest to me.
