Prior to working in wealth management he was a mechanical engineer in industry at firms including ABAQUS, Inc, now part of Dassault Systèmes. His quantitative background serves him well in his current dual role of selecting securities for client portfolios and assisting clients with quantifying and achieving their financial goals.
He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts. He is also a certified financial planner practitioner, an IRS enrolled agent, and a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). He has Sc.B. and Sc.M. degrees in engineering from Brown University, and did graduate work in solid mechanics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he worked on quantitative research related to the mechanical behavior of crystalline metals and was a member of Sigma Xi.
