About Helga In 1979, Helga received her B.S. in Business Administration from Mississippi State University and her Masters in Public Policy Administration in 1981. Before founding TFG, she was a Vice President and Trust Officer for SunTrust Bank where she aided affluent individuals and families with their daily financial needs as well as provided retirement and estate planning techniques. Helga has taught the Retirement Planning module of the CFP® certification program at Oglethorpe University to CFP® certification candidates. She is a board member of the Financial Planning Association Georgia Chapter, the internationally recognized organization for financial services professionals dedicated to championing the financial planning process, and The Garrett Planning Network, Inc., a nationwide network of Fee-Only advisors dedicated to serving people from all walks of life on an hourly, as-needed basis. Helga lives in Decatur, Georgia, with her husband and daughter. They enjoy gardening and volunteering in their community. “Gardening is the ultimate relaxation.
